In the journal «Wounds and wound infections. The prof. B.M. Kostyuchenok journal»  there are published the results of fundamental and clinical researches dedicated to wound treatment process of different etiology and localization in children and adults - the mechanisms of expansion, clinical picture, diagnosis, prevention, perioperative management, outcomes and prognosis. Observed are also strategy and tactics of the treatment of various purulent diseases and surgical implications in general, pediatric, cardiovascular, abdominal, thoracic surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Combustiology. Presented are the clinical observations on current and widespread nosology, accompanied by the formation of tissue defects. Posted are the results of treatment of patients with rare purulent diseases or conditions that require complex differential diagnostics of  correct diagnosis and determination of the treatment. Articles are also devoted to the particular qualities of anesthesia and intensive care of wound infection. The journal also publishes works of doctors and researchers on various parts of the wound process, having both scientific and practical value.
